Key Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironers, ensuring safe and efficient usage.
  • Inspect all items for stains or damage before and after laundering, treating stains as necessary and reporting irreparable items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload laundry carts, transporting clean linen to designated storage areas and delivering soiled linen for processing.
  • Assist with inventory management of linen and laundry supplies, reporting low stock levels.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens for guest rooms and restaurant operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to chemical handling and personal protective equipment.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment, assisting colleagues as needed to achieve departmental goals.

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of English for communication and following instructions.
