Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironers, ensuring safe and efficient usage.
- Inspect all items for stains or damage before and after laundering, treating stains as necessary and reporting irreparable items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Load and unload laundry carts, transporting clean linen to designated storage areas and delivering soiled linen for processing.
- Assist with inventory management of linen and laundry supplies, reporting low stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens for guest rooms and restaurant operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to chemical handling and personal protective equipment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, assisting colleagues as needed to achieve departmental goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
