Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with a smooth check-in process, verifying reservation details and assigning rooms.
  • Efficiently handle guest check-outs, processing payments, and providing accurate invoices.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls and responding to guest inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Assist guests with reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy in the property management system.
  • Provide detailed information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions, offering personalized recommendations.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating complex situations to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately and securely.
  • Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, concierge, dining) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports, managing mail, and maintaining guest records.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems (PMS).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest needs.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to assist others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk or guest services role within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS or similar hotel management software.
  • Knowledge of Santa Fe and New Mexico attractions, restaurants, and cultural events.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
