Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Room Attendant to join our vibrant team in the picturesque setting of Crooked Creek, Dawson City. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating impeccably clean, comfortable, and inviting spaces for our guests. As a crucial member of our hospitality team, you will play a direct role in shaping the guest experience, ensuring every room meets our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Your day will involve transforming hotel rooms from their occupied state into pristine sanctuaries, ready to welcome new visitors. This isn’t just about cleaning; it’s about anticipating needs, paying attention to the smallest details, and ensuring that every guest feels a sense of relaxation and luxury from the moment they step into their room. You’ll be responsible for a range of tasks from making beds with precision, refreshing linens and towels, to vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all surfaces in bedrooms and bathrooms. Beyond the visible tasks, you’ll also be instrumental in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and upholding all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Make beds, change linens, replenish towels, and ensure all amenities are stocked.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean windows and mirrors.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and floors.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly to supervision.
- Manage and maintain cleaning cart with required supplies, ensuring it is tidy and well-stocked.
- Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with laundry duties and restocking linen closets as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Room Attendant or Housekeeper in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures (WHMIS certification an asset).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
