Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately take and process guest room service orders, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
  • Carefully prepare and set up food and beverage trays according to established standards, ensuring presentation and quality.
  • Promptly deliver orders to guest rooms, courteously announcing arrival and professionally setting up dining arrangements within the room.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to room service orders efficiently and politely, escalating as needed.
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions securely.
  • Collect used trays and dishes from guest rooms and designated areas in a timely manner, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the room service area, including equipment and supply storage.
  • Assist with inventory control, restocking supplies, and reporting shortages.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, front desk, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience through personalized service and attention to detail.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivery
  • Basic math skills for handling payments
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional and presentable appearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or food service environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Familiarity with POS systems
