Key Responsibilities
- Perform general house cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing of surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms (toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks) and kitchens (countertops, sinks, appliances).
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Launder and iron clothes or linens if specified by the client.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs or damage noticed during cleaning.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of restocking needs.
- Adhere strictly to client privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and company cleaning protocols.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in residential housekeeping or professional cleaning.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High level of reliability, trustworthiness, and punctuality.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills in English or Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Professional training or certification in housekeeping or hygiene.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Excellent references from previous employers.
- Experience with eco-friendly cleaning practices.
