Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general house cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing of surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms (toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks) and kitchens (countertops, sinks, appliances).
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Make beds and change linens as required.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Launder and iron clothes or linens if specified by the client.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance needs or damage noticed during cleaning.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of restocking needs.
  • Adhere strictly to client privacy and confidentiality policies.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and company cleaning protocols.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in residential housekeeping or professional cleaning.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • High level of reliability, trustworthiness, and punctuality.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic communication skills in English or Swahili.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Professional training or certification in housekeeping or hygiene.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Excellent references from previous employers.
  • Experience with eco-friendly cleaning practices.
