Are you a meticulous and energetic individual with a passion for creating pristine environments? Chimanimani Hotel is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to join our esteemed team. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, directly contributing to the overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Replenish guest room amenities, linens, and supplies according to hotel standards.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and offices, ensuring they are consistently tidy and presentable.
- Handle guest requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to the supervisor immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist with laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens as needed.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive and positive guest experience.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to clean and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items frequently throughout a shift.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures and chemical handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a hotel or hospitality housekeeping role.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Shona, Ndebele) in addition to English.
