Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our hotel rooms team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the pristine condition of our guest rooms, ensuring they always meet and exceed guest expectations and hotel standards. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of housekeepers, coordinating daily activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to all operational procedures and safety guidelines. This role requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team assigned to hotel rooms.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are consistently met.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to existing team members.
- Create and manage daily work schedules, assignments, and break rotations for the housekeeping staff.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
- Ensure all housekeeping staff adhere to hotel policies, safety standards, and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare daily reports on room status, lost and found items, and staffing performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations pertinent to the hospitality industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish).
