You’ll work closely with our HR Manager and other team members, gaining exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS management, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the full cycle recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support new employee onboarding by preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, managing new hire paperwork, and coordinating orientation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR-related reports and presentations, gathering data and formatting information as needed.
  • Support various HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, training coordination, and policy updates.
  • Manage HR department correspondence, including emails, memos, and other communications.
  • Coordinate HR meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Process employment verification requests and other routine HR administrative tasks.
  • Assist with benefits administration support, including enrollment and eligibility inquiries.

  • Basic understanding of HR principles and best practices (can be from coursework)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in an office or HR setting
  • Familiarity with HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR)
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
