Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Prepare new hire paperwork, conduct pre-employment checks, and facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries from employees and managers, escalating complex issues to senior HR staff when necessary.
  • Support the HR team with various projects and initiatives, such as policy updates, employee engagement activities, and performance management.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll data by collating relevant information, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong organisational abilities and exceptional time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tasks and data management.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, particularly when handling sensitive data.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude and a strong desire to develop a career in Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior administrative experience, ideally within a busy office environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software or human resource information systems (HRIS).
  • Basic understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
