Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment checks.
- Support the onboarding of new hires by preparing new employee files, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and physical files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Prepare HR-related documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, performance review forms, and other correspondence.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating complex issues to senior HR staff when necessary.
- Help organize and coordinate company events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
- Process HR-related invoices and assist with budget tracking for the HR department.
- Conduct basic research on HR best practices, industry trends, and compliance requirements.
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, ensuring efficient department operations.
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior administrative or office experience, even if not directly in HR.

- Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices in British Columbia.
