Corporate Staffing Services is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our vibrant team in Madaraka, Nairobi. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our recruitment department, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process from start to finish. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a blend of administrative tasks, candidate communication, and system management. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our applicant tracking system, scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and ensuring all recruitment documentation is meticulously handled. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the entire recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, and screening applications.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing calendars and sending timely reminders.
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate candidate information and recruitment progress.
- Prepare and distribute recruitment-related correspondence, such as offer letters, rejection emails, and new hire paperwork.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing necessary documents and coordinating initial steps for new hires.
- Assist in organizing and participating in career fairs and recruitment events.
- Generate recruitment reports and provide analytical support to the HR team.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment regulations throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Handle general HR administrative tasks and provide support to the HR department as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or support role, preferably with recruitment exposure.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and recruitment best practices.
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., CHRP, HRCI, SHRM).
