Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to join our growing team in Hurlingham, Nairobi. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about HR to gain hands-on experience across a wide spectrum of human resources functions. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department, contributing to a positive employee experience, and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR processes. You will be instrumental in managing administrative tasks, supporting recruitment efforts, maintaining accurate employee records, and assisting with various HR projects. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has a strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the full recruitment cycle, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating new employee onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment letters, offer letters, and policy documents.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs and leave management.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and basic HR-related questions.
  • Organize and coordinate HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist in compiling HR reports and presentations as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or assistant role.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
  • Basic understanding of Kenyan labor laws and employment regulations.
