Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to offer generation and onboarding.
- Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and career progression.
- Manage employee relations, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.
- Support performance management processes, including annual appraisals, goal setting, and continuous feedback loops.
- Prepare comprehensive HR reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making and identify trends.
- Handle payroll input processing and assist in salary reviews and compensation benchmarking.
- Promote a positive work culture and champion employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or similar HR generalist role.
- Thorough knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, employment equity regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional time management abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with a fair and impartial approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in HR (e.g., IHRM-K, CHRP) is highly desirable.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce in a fast-paced or dynamic environment.
- Fluency in local languages relevant to Marsabit County (e.g., Borana, Rendille) is a significant advantage.
- Previous experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR consulting firm.
