Job Description
This role is crucial for Career.zycto, a rapidly growing global consulting and technology solutions provider. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Immigration Attorney to join our legal department in Centerville, Butte. As an Immigration Attorney, you will be instrumental in guiding our diverse workforce through complex immigration processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations. You will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3), permanent residency petitions (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3), PERM labor certifications, and family-based petitions. A significant part of your role will involve providing expert legal advice to internal stakeholders, including HR, talent acquisition, and senior management, on immigration strategies, compliance, and risk mitigation. You will prepare and file various immigration petitions and applications, respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and represent the company and its employees before government agencies such as USCIS, DOL, and DOS.
Beyond case management, this role requires a proactive approach to developing and implementing immigration policies and procedures, conducting training sessions for HR teams, and staying abreast of rapidly changing immigration laws and policies. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of U.S. immigration processes, including non-immigrant and immigrant visas.
- Prepare and file various immigration petitions and applications with USCIS, DOL, and DOS.
- Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to HR, talent acquisition, and employees on immigration matters.
- Respond to complex Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and audits.
- Develop and implement company-wide immigration policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Stay current with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and agency policies.
- Represent the company and its employees in interactions with government agencies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support immigration strategies.
Required Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (California preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing U.S. corporate immigration law.
- Demonstrated expertise in H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3 visas, PERM, and various EB petitions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with global immigration processes beyond the U.S.
- Prior in-house legal experience at a multinational company or a large consulting firm.
- Proficiency with immigration case management software.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
