Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative, passionate, and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a strong focus on décor and setup to join our dynamic team in Grand Baie. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their aesthetic preferences, lifestyle, functional requirements, and overall project vision.
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts, including detailed mood boards, material palettes, furniture layouts, and 3D renderings to present to clients.
- Source, select, and specify luxury furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), decorative accessories, bespoke lighting solutions, and curated art pieces.
- Prepare detailed design proposals, compelling presentations, and accurate budgets for client approval, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, general contractors, and skilled artisans to ensure seamless integration of design elements with structural and functional aspects of the property.
- Manage project timelines, procurement processes, and logistics from initial concept development through to final installation and meticulous styling.
- Oversee on-site decoration, setup, and staging activities, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and flawless execution of the approved design vision.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global and local luxury design trends, innovative materials, sustainable practices, and industry best practices.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with high-end suppliers, trusted vendors, and local Mauritian craftsmen.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on space planning, sophisticated color schemes, and aesthetic enhancements for various luxury property types.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard interior design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max).
- Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, space planning, material specifications, and furniture design.
- Proven ability to manage multiple luxury projects from concept to completion within established deadlines and budgets.
- Exceptional client communication, interpersonal, and compelling presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities, with a knack for sourcing unique items.
