Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand project scope, objectives, and aesthetic preferences.
- Develop comprehensive design concepts, including mood boards, material palettes, and furniture selections.
- Perform detailed space planning and create efficient, functional layouts using CAD software.
- Produce high-quality 2D drawings (floor plans, elevations) and 3D visualizations (renderings) to present design proposals.
- Specify and source furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and decorative items.
- Prepare project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed parameters.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure design integrity.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and design innovations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices.
