Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately count, label, and record stock levels in the inventory management system.
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery or pickup.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts, reconciling variances and investigating root causes of discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Identify and report any inventory issues, such as low stock, damaged goods, or slow-moving items.
Required Skills
- Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory software and/or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtracting, and calculating inventory quantities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
- Forklift certification or previous experience operating a forklift.
