Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately sort, label, and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and physical inventories) to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or any issues related to stock levels or quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments and ensure proper packaging and documentation.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely after receiving comprehensive training.
- Utilize inventory management software to accurately record movements and update stock information in real-time.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and operational effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and teamwork.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (college or university) in a relevant field.
