Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Controller to join our dynamic operations team in Rose Belle. As an Inventory Controller, you will be instrumental in managing the efficient flow of materials and products throughout our facilities, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production demands and sales targets. This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of inventory, from receipt and storage to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, minimizing waste, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You will work closely with procurement, production, and logistics departments, providing vital insights into inventory status and trends. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's ERP system.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Monitor inventory levels to identify and address potential stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials.
- Collaborate with production planning to optimize material availability for manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the proper storage, handling, and preservation of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data, generate reports, and provide insights to management on inventory performance and trends.
- Identify and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, damages, or obsolescence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and logistics functions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards related to inventory management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or a related supply chain role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience in the manufacturing or agricultural sectors.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems.
