Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues, primarily remotely.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory, and disposal of laptops, monitors, and other peripherals.
- Administer user accounts and permissions across various systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, internal applications).
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including VPNs, Wi-Fi, and remote connectivity solutions.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures, ensuring data protection and compliance.
- Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring new hires have necessary access and departing employees' access is revoked securely.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for support, maintenance, and new technology implementations.
- Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new software rollouts.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential IT issues to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an IT support or coordination role.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency in administering cloud productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk, ServiceNow).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified).
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
