As a Junior Video Editor, you will work closely with our senior editors and content creators to produce engaging video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and internal communications. You will be instrumental in bringing concepts to life, contributing to all stages of the post-production process from initial assembly to final export. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior editors in all phases of video post-production, including editing, color correction, sound design, and motion graphics.
  • Ingest and organize raw footage, ensuring proper file management and archiving.
  • Perform initial cuts, assemble sequences, and synchronize audio/video tracks.
  • Implement feedback from creative directors and clients to refine edits and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and delivery deadlines.
  • Research and incorporate appropriate music, sound effects, and stock footage.
  • Maintain and update post-production equipment and software as needed.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, animators, and other team members to enhance visual content.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and software advancements to continuously improve skills.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Basic understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
  • Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and resolutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing media assets.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and feedback.
  • Demonstrated portfolio or reel showcasing personal video projects or academic work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite applications (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop, Audition).
  • Experience with basic color grading and audio mixing.
  • Understanding of social media video best practices and platform specific requirements.
  • Degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field.
