Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Operate and clean dishwashing machines; manually wash pots, pans, and other kitchen items as needed.
- Receive and properly store incoming deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring correct rotation and organization.
- Monitor inventory levels for essential kitchen supplies and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Remove trash and recyclables, ensuring waste disposal areas are kept clean and organized.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles.
- Support the culinary team during peak service hours by ensuring a constant supply of clean dishes and organized workstations.
- Perform general kitchen duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or head chef.
Required Skills
