Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and food storage areas regularly.
- Support dishwashing operations, ensuring a constant supply of clean dishes and cookware.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking items for quality and quantity, and organizing them efficiently.
- Remove kitchen waste and dispose of it properly, maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to senior kitchen staff.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision, such as making simple salads or preparing vegetables.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude within the kitchen team.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
