Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sterilize dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using dishwashing machines and by hand.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, as directed.
- Manage waste, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and waste is disposed of correctly.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking items against invoices and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas, ensuring equipment and supplies are readily accessible.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Support the kitchen team in any other ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.
