Key Responsibilities
- Washing and sterilising crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using both manual and machine washing methods.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment, work surfaces, walls, and floors are kept clean and hygienic at all times, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required, under supervision.
- Managing and disposing of kitchen waste responsibly, including recycling.
- Receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Maintaining clean and organised storage areas, including refrigerators and dry stores.
- Operating and cleaning dishwashing machinery safely and effectively.
- Supporting the culinary team by keeping stations tidy and operational throughout service.
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the Head Chef or management.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
