Key Responsibilities
- Execute food preparation tasks with precision, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as per recipes and chef instructions.
- Support head cooks and chefs during service, ensuring all dishes are prepared and plated according to Libe Guesthouse's quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles, to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for food handling.
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory, which involves receiving, inspecting, rotating, and storing deliveries correctly to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Operate and clean various kitchen appliances and equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Perform dishwashing duties as needed, ensuring all kitchenware and serving items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Collaborate effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by being cooperative, supportive, and communicative.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to support overall kitchen operations.
