Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior researchers in setting up and executing experiments following established protocols.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, and spectrophotometers.
  • Collect, record, and organize experimental data with precision and integrity.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks such as glassware washing, sterilization, and waste disposal.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, quality control procedures, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Maintain detailed and organized laboratory notebooks and digital records.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and reagents, and assist with ordering when necessary.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace.
  • Learn and adapt to new experimental techniques and methodologies as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic laboratory safety procedures and GLP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on experience in a university or industrial laboratory setting (e.g., through internships, academic projects).
