Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and media according to established protocols.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, including glassware washing, sterilization, and waste disposal.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling experimental apparatus.
  • Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meters, centrifuges, spectrophotometers).
  • Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results.
  • Support senior researchers in conducting experiments and analyses.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and chemical reagents, placing orders as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, quality control standards, and laboratory best practices.
  • Perform basic data entry and assist with report generation.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant malfunctions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations relevant to chemistry and biology.
