Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in conducting various experiments and studies, following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare reagents, media, and solutions accurately, maintaining meticulous records of all preparations.
- Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and incubators, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as glassware cleaning, sterilization, and inventory management of supplies and chemicals.
- Collect, record, and organize experimental data with precision and integrity, using digital and physical record-keeping systems.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, hazardous waste disposal procedures, and quality control standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, contributing to overall lab efficiency and compliance.
- Document experimental procedures and results thoroughly, assisting in data analysis and report generation as required.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve technical skills and scientific understanding.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in experimental execution and data recording.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data entry and documentation.
