Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and reagents according to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses under supervision, accurately recording observations and results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Assist senior scientists and researchers with experimental setup and data collection.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory and order laboratory supplies and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and findings meticulously in lab notebooks and digital systems.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding project progress and challenges.
  • Support quality control and assurance processes for laboratory materials and products.

Required Skills

  • Associate’s degree or Diploma in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology).
  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work methodically.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting (academic or industrial, including internships).
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
