Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, reagents, solutions, and culture media according to established protocols and precise specifications.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the guidance of senior researchers, accurately recording observations and results.
- Perform initial data collection, organization, and basic analysis, documenting all experimental procedures thoroughly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, quality control standards (GLP/GMP where applicable), and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of experimental setups and breakdown of equipment upon completion.
- Inventory and order laboratory supplies and reagents, monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and discussing experimental progress.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Fundamental understanding of general laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in executing tasks.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data entry and report generation.
