Key Responsibilities
- Executing routine and specialized laboratory experiments and analyses, strictly adhering to established protocols, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Precisely preparing and sterilizing samples, reagents, chemical solutions, and culture media required for diverse experimental procedures.
- Operating, calibrating, and performing routine maintenance on a range of laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pH meters); troubleshooting minor malfunctions as needed.
- Meticulously recording, documenting, and managing all experimental data, observations, and results in comprehensive laboratory notebooks and digital systems, ensuring accuracy.
- Providing direct support to senior researchers and scientists throughout various stages of experimental design, setup, execution, and detailed data collection processes.
- Maintaining an impeccably clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, strictly complying with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Efficiently managing laboratory consumables and chemical inventories, including tracking stock, initiating purchase orders, receiving and organizing shipments, and ensuring proper storage.
- Actively participating in efforts to optimize existing laboratory procedures and assisting in the development and validation of novel protocols.
- Conducting preliminary data analysis and contributing to the initial interpretation of experimental findings.
- Engaging actively in team meetings, scientific discussions, and project reviews, offering insights and collaborating on problem-solving strategies.
- Ensuring strict adherence to internal and external quality control standards and upholding the integrity and reproducibility of all experimental processes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory equipment operation (e.g., centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately record and maintain experimental data and observations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
