Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide array of laboratory experiments and analyses following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, media, and solutions accurately, maintaining meticulous records of all preparations.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, spectrophotometers, PCR machines, and microscopes.
- Document experimental data precisely, analyze results, and generate reports for review by senior scientists.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, quality control measures, and waste disposal procedures.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and reagents to ensure continuous operations.
- Assist in the development and optimization of new laboratory techniques and assays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Lab Technician in an academic or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, cell culture, molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis), and basic biochemical assays.
- Demonstrated ability to follow complex protocols with precision and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, Mass Spectrometry).
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Prior experience working in a GLP/GMP regulated environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and adaptability to new challenges.
