Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with Canadian standards and best practices.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and documenting observations.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to legal requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights are respected and promoting a safe environment.
Required Skills
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Demonstrated clinical competency in nursing practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care delivery.
- Eligibility to work in Canada (e.g., valid work permit or Permanent Resident status).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Canadian healthcare setting is an asset.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
