Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Landscaper – Grounds Maintenance professional to enhance the beauty and functionality of various properties across London. As a key member of our dynamic grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients’ landscapes are meticulously cared for, presenting a pristine and inviting environment year-round.

Working within diverse settings, from private estates to commercial properties, you will apply your expertise in all aspects of landscaping. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, edging, weeding, pruning, and hedge cutting.
  • Plant and maintain seasonal bedding plants, shrubs, and trees, ensuring optimal health and aesthetic appeal.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment and tools, including mowers, leaf blowers, strimmers, and hedgetrimmers, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Conduct irrigation system checks and basic repairs to ensure efficient water management for landscapes.
  • Identify and treat common plant diseases and pests using appropriate methods.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting client expectations and company quality benchmarks.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Manage waste removal and disposal, maintaining tidy work areas and promoting environmental best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in general landscaping and grounds maintenance.
  • Proficient in operating a range of landscaping machinery and hand tools safely.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, including plant identification, pruning techniques, and pest control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field.
  • Full UK driving license with the ability to tow trailers (advantageous for transport of equipment).
  • PA1/PA6 spraying certificates for chemical applications.
