As a Laundry Operations Assistant, you will be at the heart of our resort’s operational flow, handling the crucial tasks that keep our fabric items pristine and perfectly presented. This hands-on role involves the safe and efficient operation of sophisticated commercial laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and ironers. You will be responsible for precise sorting of items according to fabric type, color, and specific cleaning requirements, followed by executing washing and drying cycles in strict adherence to our rigorous quality guidelines. A keen eye for detail is essential as you meticulously fold, press, and stack clean laundry for seamless distribution across various departments. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Accurately sort linen, towels, and uniforms according to fabric type, color, and specific cleaning requirements.
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring optimal capacity utilization and adherence to cycle instructions.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles closely, adjusting settings as needed to achieve desired results and maintain fabric integrity.
- Precisely fold, press, and neatly stack all clean laundry items, preparing them for organized distribution.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on all laundered items, identifying and reporting any damaged, stained, or substandard articles.
- Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the entire laundry facility, including equipment and work areas, at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and hygiene standards and operational procedures.
- Assist with inventory management of linens and laundry supplies, reporting stock levels and discrepancies.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted laundry operations.
