In this vital role, you will be responsible for the professional handling, cleaning, and pressing of all hotel linens, guest laundry, and staff uniforms, ensuring they meet our stringent quality and hygiene standards. You will operate and maintain various laundry equipment, manage inventory, and adhere strictly to safety and sanitation protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press all hotel linens (towels, sheets, tablecloths), guest laundry, and staff uniforms according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, and wear, and apply appropriate pre-treatment or report to management.
- Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage and maintain their longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry processed, including guest laundry logs.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines within the laundry area.
- Manage laundry supplies inventory, reporting needs for detergents, softeners, and other chemicals.
- Clean and maintain the laundry room and equipment regularly to ensure a hygienic and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and guest items.
- Handle delicate garments and special requests with utmost care and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Operator or similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with various types of laundry equipment and cleaning agents.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy loads.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Basic understanding of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
