Job Description
Are you a meticulous and hardworking individual with a keen eye for cleanliness? Lancer’s Inn is actively seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Laundry Team in Khanyane, Leribe. This is a crucial role within our hospitality operations, directly contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. As a member of our Laundry Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and guest laundry are processed to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. You will operate various laundry equipment, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining excellent quality. Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric, and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial washing machines and dryers according to specified cycles and procedures.
- Fold, iron, and press linens, towels, and guest garments neatly and efficiently.
- Inspect all items for stains or damage, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to ensure adequate stock.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of linens to various departments as needed.
- Handle guest laundry requests with care and discretion.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry machinery and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing, bending) for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
