Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and passionate Learning & Development Manager to join our team in Derby. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with organisational goals and future growth plans.
  • Design, develop, and deliver a wide range of engaging training programmes, workshops, and e-learning modules across various competencies.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across all levels of the organisation.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and demonstrable ROI on all initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning interventions, utilising data and feedback to continually improve and refine programmes.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and HR colleagues to ensure L&D initiatives are integrated with broader talent management strategies.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, growth, and knowledge sharing throughout the company.
  • Research and implement best practices in L&D, utilising innovative tools and methodologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external training providers and platforms when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a Learning & Development role, with at least 2 years in a management position.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing successful L&D programmes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong project management abilities with a capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills for needs assessment, programme evaluation, and reporting on impact.
  • Proficiency in modern learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a flexible work schedule effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and content creation.
  • Accreditation in psychometric tools or coaching methodologies.
  • Experience in change management and organisational development initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
