Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our growing team in St. Catharines, Ontario. As our L&D Manager, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous growth and development across all levels of the company. This position requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of identifying learning needs through robust analysis, developing engaging content, and managing all aspects of program delivery. You will work closely with department heads and senior leadership to understand business challenges and translate them into effective learning solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning programs, including workshops, e-learning modules, blended learning experiences, and mentorship programs.
  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across various departments.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of learning initiatives, from conceptualization and content creation to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure learning content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with external training providers and consultants when necessary.
  • Oversee the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring optimal utilization and data integrity.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D programs, providing regular reports on effectiveness and ROI.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee development plans and performance improvement strategies.
  • Stay abreast of L&D best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to continuously enhance our learning offerings.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a management or lead role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging training content across various modalities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure program effectiveness and report on outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Adult Education, HR Management).
  • Professional certification in L&D (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
  • Experience implementing new L&D technologies or platforms.
  • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices in learning design.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work model environment.
