Job Description
Mount Kenya University is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Lecturer to join our esteemed faculty in Thika, Kiambu County. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and teaching aids in line with university standards and industry trends.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical sessions, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Mentor and advise students on academic matters, career development, and research projects.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Actively engage in scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present findings at conferences.
- Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure relevance and quality of academic programs.
- Contribute to the administrative duties of the department and faculty, including committee work and student recruitment.
- Engage in community service and outreach activities relevant to the university's mission.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
