Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions across various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, both face-to-face and via blended/online learning platforms.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, assessments, and learning resources to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and industry standards.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and presentations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students, including advising on academic progress, career pathways, and research projects.
- Undertake research and scholarly activities, publish in reputable journals, and actively participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance processes within the department and faculty.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties as required.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching methodologies, subject expertise, and digital literacy.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and independent learning.
Required Skills
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
- Demonstrable experience in tertiary-level teaching or a related professional capacity.
- Profound subject matter expertise and ability to teach a range of modules within the discipline.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to student-centred learning and academic integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or Doctoral degree in the relevant field.
- Prior experience with online or blended learning delivery.
- A strong record of research publications and/or grants.
- Industry experience relevant to the discipline.
