Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team in Mosspark, Glasgow. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our legal support functions, providing essential assistance across various aspects of case management. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Manage and maintain client files, physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are correctly filed, organized, and easily retrievable.
  • Assist with the e-filing of court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Conduct preliminary legal research to gather information and support case preparation.
  • Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings, managing calendars effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other external parties, handling inquiries and providing updates as directed.
  • Prepare trial binders and exhibits, organizing evidence and documents for hearings and trials.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing mail, and ordering supplies.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing procedures, tracking time and expenses.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative legal role.
  • Proficiency in legal document drafting, formatting, and proofreading.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Legal Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific e-filing systems relevant to Scottish courts.
  • Familiarity with various practice areas, particularly general litigation or corporate law.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to challenges.
