Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain library collections, including acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of materials.
- Assist patrons with research inquiries, resource discovery, and technology use.
- Develop and deliver engaging educational programs, workshops, and events for all age groups.
- Promote literacy and lifelong learning through various initiatives and outreach activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming and inclusive library environment.
- Stay informed about current trends in library science, technology, and community needs.
- Oversee the organization and display of library materials.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance library services and reach.
- Maintain accurate records of library usage and program attendance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a library or information management role
- Proficiency in library management systems and digital resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups
- Demonstrated passion for reading, learning, and community engagement
Preferred Qualifications
