Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
  • Assist Registered Nurses and physicians with patient assessments, examinations, and the implementation of care plans.
  • Provide essential patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and comfort measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, ensuring all documentation is timely and complete.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, providing first aid and basic life support as needed.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an LPN in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and adherence to all healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience with specific patient populations (e.g., geriatrics, pediatrics, post-surgical care).
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language to support diverse patient needs.
