Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement creative lighting plots and designs based on event requirements and artistic vision.
- Operate lighting consoles and control systems during live events, ensuring seamless transitions and effects.
- Set up, rig, focus, and dismantle various lighting fixtures, dimmers, control systems, and associated equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, testing, and repair of lighting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams, sound technicians, stage managers, and clients.
- Program intelligent lighting fixtures (moving heads, LEDs) and create dynamic lighting cues.
- Conduct pre-event checks and troubleshoot technical issues promptly during setup and live shows.
- Manage inventory of lighting equipment and consumables, ensuring availability for upcoming projects.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices in event production.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Lighting Technician in live event production.
- Proficiency with major lighting consoles (e.g., GrandMA, Avolites, Chamsys, ETC).
- Strong knowledge of DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and other lighting control protocols.
- Expertise in rigging, power distribution, and safe operation of high-voltage equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret lighting plots and technical drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification in lighting technology or event production.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Vectorworks Spotlight, AutoCAD) for lighting design.
- Familiarity with video integration and projection mapping techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices specific to events.
- Valid driver's license for transporting equipment.
