Job Description
Are you a master of light, capable of painting atmospheres and transforming spaces with your technical prowess? Sound Xperience is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Lighting Technician to join our dynamic events team in Durbanville, Western Cape. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in the setup, operation, and strike of sophisticated lighting systems for a diverse range of events, from intimate corporate gatherings to large-scale productions.
As a Lighting Technician, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life. Your responsibilities will span the entire event lifecycle: from pre-event planning and equipment preparation in our warehouse, through on-site installation and configuration, to live operation and post-event breakdown. You will work with a vast array of lighting fixtures, consoles, and control systems, ensuring flawless execution and problem-solving on the fly. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of electrical principles, DMX protocols, rigging safety, and a creative flair for design.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and possesses an unwavering commitment to quality and safety. You will not only be setting up equipment but also actively contributing to the technical design process, offering solutions, and ensuring that every lighting cue enhances the overall event experience. This position requires someone who is not afraid of hands-on work, adapting to various venues and client requirements, and who is always eager to learn and implement new technologies. If you are passionate about event technology, dedicated to precision, and ready to illuminate the stage for memorable moments, we invite you to apply and become a key player in the Sound Xperience family.
