Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning, ensuring meticulous adherence to recipes and standards.
- Learn and skillfully execute various cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting, and baking under the direct guidance of experienced kitchen staff.
- Follow established recipes and precise portion control guidelines accurately to maintain consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all dishes.
- Maintain an impeccably clean and organized workstation throughout the entire shift, strictly adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with other kitchen staff, including other cooks, dishwashers, and servers, to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of all food products, promptly reporting any discrepancies, spoilage, or concerns to the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and ovens, after receiving thorough and proper training.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving deliveries, proper storage, and stock rotation, to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
