Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Administer and manage medication safely and accurately, following prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in recreational activities.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Manage household tasks, including grocery shopping and running errands.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, changes in client condition, and medication administration.
- Monitor client health and well-being, reporting any concerns promptly to the care manager.
- Provide emotional support and ensure the client's comfort and dignity at all times.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable compassion and empathy towards older adults.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
