Key Responsibilities
- Install various types of siding materials, including vinyl, fiber cement, wood, and aluminum, following blueprints, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Measure and cut siding materials accurately to fit specific dimensions and angles.
- Prepare work surfaces by removing old siding, repairing damaged areas, and ensuring proper insulation and moisture barriers are in place.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including saws, hammers, drills, and scaffolding.
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring proper disposal of debris and materials.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and other tradespeople.
- Inspect finished installations for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in siding installation (residential or commercial).
- Proficiency in installing various siding types: vinyl, fiber cement (e.g., HardiePlank), wood, and aluminum.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and proper tool usage.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications accurately.
- Excellent physical stamina, ability to lift heavy materials, and work at heights.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with lead-safe work practices.
- Ability to mentor less experienced team members.
